Ted Campbell
Less Is More Productions Writer/Director
Los Angeles, California
Originally from Boston, Mass, I am a screenwriter and director who specializes in thoughtful, character driven thrillers. My heist thriller "Underground" has been optioned by producer Ellen Wander of Film Bridge International in partnership with Kieran Corrigan of Merlin Films. I am a member of ISA’s Development Program. And I was named to ISA’s 25 Screenwriters To Watch list. I find inspiration in the works of the great noir writers Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler and Ross MacDonald as well as my screenwriting idols Scott Frank, Shane Black, Tony Gilroy and Richard Wenk. A twenty year veteran of the film industry, I have worked as a First Assistant Director on over fifty independent feature films including Dwight Little’s “Last Rampage”, Paul Lieberstein’s “Song of Back and Neck”, Miranda July's "The Future" and the Sundance award-winner "Quinceañera.”
My ultimate career goal is to one day write a line of dialogue as infamous and beloved as “Go ahead. Make my day,” “I’m the one who knocks,” or “Yipee-ki-yay, motherf*cker.” I am a graduate of Emerson College and I live in Los Angeles with my amazing wife, beautiful baby boy and two cats.
