Wayne Horton

Creative Executive
After graduating law school at Syracuse University, Wayne Horton started his career in Business & Legal Affairs at New Line Cinema. It was at New Line where he developed a passion for genre films and working with diverse filmmakers. Horton then went on to Fairview Entertainment, where he worked with director Jon Favreau on projects such as Disney’s "The Jungle Book" and Fox's "The Orville" starring Seth MacFarlane. Currently, Horton works as a creative executive on the Original Independent Film team at Netflix, helping to develop character-driven genre films in the low-budget space and further opportunities for first time filmmakers. He is currently in post-production on the family dramedy "Uncorked", written and directed by Prentice Penny, along with the action-thriller "The Last Days of American Crime" starring Edgar Ramirez and Michael Pitt, directed by Olivier Megaton and is in pre-production on "Kate", a revenge-driven action film starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Woody Harrelson.
