2019 Recipient of the Polly Platt Award for Producing
Oscar- and Emmy-nominated producer Sarah Green is known for powerful auteur-driven independent films and television.

Her most recent production, HBO's "Fahrenheit 451" was written and directed by Ramin Bahrani and starred Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon. The film was nominated for a Best Television Movie Emmy, and won Green the PGA Award for Outstanding Producer of Streamed or Televised Motion Pictures.

2017 releases produced by Green include Jeff Nichols' "Loving" with Joel Edgerton, Ruth Negga and Michael Shannon, Terrence Malick’s documentary “Voyage of Time: The IMAX Experience” narrated by Brad Pitt, Malick’s “Knight of Cups” starring Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman, and his "Song to Song" starring Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman.

Previous productions include Nichols’ “Midnight Special,” with Michael Shannon, Joel Edgerton, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver and Sam Shepard, and Malick's Best Picture Academy Award®- nominated “The Tree of Life” starring Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain, which also won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Green produced Nichols' “Mud,” with Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon, which was the highest-grossing independent release during the summer of 2013.

Green produced the Academy Award®-winning “Frida,” directed by Julie Taymor and starring Salma Hayek, and “Girlfight," which won the Prix de la Jeunesse at the Cannes Film Festival, shared the Grand Jury Prize and won Best Director for Karyn Kusama at the Sundance Film Festival, and won multiple awards for then newcomer Michelle Rodriguez.

Previously, Green produced five movies with writer/director David Mamet including “State and Main” and three movies with writer/director John Sayles including the “The Secret of Roan Inish.”
