Paul Alvarado-Dykstra is VP of Operations and Marketing for New Sky Pictures, overseeing development and production for their New Sky Kids channel, which has over 2 million subscribers and 1.5 billion views worldwide on YouTube, and will soon launch an ad-free premium subscription service. As executive producer, he has helped create new shows for the channel including Kid Ninja and Kids Kitchen: Real Recipes.

Paul previously co-founded Fantastic Fest, named one of Variety’s ten favorite film festivals in the world, and was assistant to Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, for whom he worked in creative development on many projects. He has also worked with Oscar-nominated documentarian Frances Reid and Emmy-nominated television producer Scott Carter.

More recently, Paul served as creative director for digital marketing agency AHD Multimedia, where among other projects he produced the hit “Will Kitty Play With It?” web series for Purina Friskies, and was responsible for “the best cross-marketing campaign of all time” (according to EliteDaily) — putting Grumpy Cat on the Game of Thrones Iron Throne at SXSW.

Paul has worked on projects for Sony, New Line, Comedy Central, HBO, MTV, and XM Satellite Radio, served on the boards of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance, the Film Texas Fund, the Austin chapter of the American Advertising Federation, and Austin’s Hyde Park Theatre, and guest lectured for St. Edward's University's Digital MBA program.
