Laura Eason is a Brooklyn-based playwright, screenwriter and producer.

Her writing/producing credits for TV include The Loudest Voice for Showtime and four seasons on Netflix’s House of Cards (Emmy Nomination for Drama Series, WGA Nomination for Writing in a Drama Series.) Laura's feature film debut, Here and Now, premiered at Tribeca Film Festival (then titled Blue Night) and is available on demand after a limited theatrical release.

Her play Sex with Strangers began at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, was an NYT Critic’s pick at Second Stage in New York and, for several years, was one of the most produced plays in the U.S. according to American Theatre Magazine. Her adaptation of Around the World in 80 Days played in London and 18 UK cities before transferring to New York’s New Victory Theatre where it was an NYT Critic’s pick. Her plays have also been seen internationally in Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Finland and Canada,

Laura is an Ensemble Member and former Artistic Director of Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago (2011 Regional Theatre Tony Award) where she worked as a producer, writer, director and/or actor on more than thirty productions.
