Johnny McAllister is an award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter from Donegal, Ireland. He recently cowrote and executive produced the feature film BULL which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 and more recently won the top three awards at the Deauville American Film Festival. Johnny was a Sundance Institute fellow in 2016, has written and produced several feature films that have played at Sundance, SXSW, Austin Film Festival and others. Johnny is assistant professor and the head of the film program at Texas State University. He received is MFA from Columbia University in 2004.
