Towards Less Harm
Founder, Executive Director
kristinamiller3@gmail.com
Kristina Miller is a Black queer artist, educator, and advocate for victims/survivors of violence from Houston (Katy), Texas. As a queer survivor of child sexual abuse (CSA), she works to challenge misconceptions about how sexual abuse can impact victims while expanding the narrative of victimhood/survivorhood beyond the limitations of normative discourse.
Her work explores socio-cultural responses to instances of sexual trauma and the erasure of certain bodies and narratives from mainstream media
representations of sexual violence. Helping people identify ways to challenge rape culture brings her joy and she enjoys creating spaces that promote increased community engagement in preventing violence. When she is not providing direct support for SA survivors at her local DV/SA non-profit, you can find her liking pictures of her favorite dog accounts on Instagram. If you love dogs (and advocacy) as much as she does, and want to connect or collaborate, you can find her on Twitter @towardslessharm.
