Pixar Animation Studios has a story development process that is unique in the industry. In this panel, Toy Story 4 writer Stephany Folsom and Story Supervisor Valerie LaPointe will join Mike Jones, who has written for several Pixar movies, in describing the intensely collaborative way writers work with directors and story artists. Development Executives Mary Coleman and Megan Alderson will walk you through how Pixar scouts writers, matches them with directors, then supports them in creating engaging characters, believable worlds, and compelling stories.
